This is a long overdue email to say thanks for your last shipment, which was distributed to the following Bicycle Empowerment Centres:

On Wednesday, September 14th we will load a container of bikes for our partner Ability Bikes in Ghana.

The container to be filled with bikes bound for El Salvador is meant to be arriving at 11am Tuesday (9/06), details of when we will be filling it to follow ...

The container was filled with 544 used bicycles:
231 used adult bicycles with one or both wheels removed for packing,
313 used children's bicycles, 31 used wheels & 47 used tires.

We will be filling a container bound for the Panamanian Association of Goodwill Industries in Panama this Friday and Saturday from 12 noon until 4pm at 2434 S. Western Avenue in Chicago, cooperating with our partners at Bikes for the World. Pastries, Pizza and comraderie will be in abundance!

These pictures are from the Panamanian Association of Goodwill Industries (Goodwill Panama), which is a well-organized non-profit organization providing skills training and employment to more than 100 people with disabilities.

Goodwill Panama works closely with local Rotary Clubs to oversee and support the bicycle program. These photos illustrate the high degree of organization characteristic of their bicycle repair and marketing program.

We packed 402 adult MTBs and many, many parts into this container bound for Uganda ...

Thanks in particular to the church group from Texas that came along to help, while they were here in Chicago for some sight-seeing, etc.

We are filling a container to ship bikes to the Women's Prisoner Support Organization in Uganda on Friday.

Here are the contents of the Uganda container:

318 Used Adult bikes (about 170 have their front wheels removed)
130 Used 20" BMX bikes (abut 20 have their front wheels removed)
63 extra used wheels
87 extra used tires
one box of used seats
one box of used parts

We are trying to finalise arrangments for a container to ship bikes to the Women's Prisoner Support Organization in Uganda this week, so watch this space!

450 bikes were crammed into the container, which is now on it's way to New Orleans ...

We will load a 53' shipping container with about 500 bicycles, bound for our friends at the Plan B bicycle project in New Orleans, LA.

We may put a canopy above the bridge from our building to the container to thwart any [wet] weather.

We put 288 adult bikes & 143 BMX bikes into a container bound for Panama, along with assorted spares ...

We stuffed 350 adult's & 119 children's bikes into the container, along with many used bicycle parts & tyres.

We will be filling a container with bikes, etc., bound for our partners at the Village Bicycle Project in Ghana.

This is the shipping party we had to postpone after "snowmagedon" in early February!
