A colleague, Jack, is driving a truck from Chicago to Miami loaded with medical supplies bound for Haiti - Working Bikes will contribute 10-20 bikes to this shipment and will be hand-picking & loading suitable bikes mid-morning this Friday ...

We prepared 20 fat-tyred bikes (mainly MTBs but there were a few cruisers), then took them and all of our medical equipment (crutches, walkers & 8 wheelchairs) along to the truck-loading in Mount Prospect on Saturday - as problems procuring a vehicle meant they didn't manage to get to us on Friday.

"Just to let you know, Ability Bikes received the container from Working Bikes last week and cleared it without a problem. This container was critical in supporting Ability Bikes to generate the needed funds to pay off their 10-year rent deposit for the new storage space, and bank some funds as operating capital.

Thanks for this amazing support. The Ability Bikes workers send their greetings and gratitude. I will keep you informed of project developments in the future."
