Similar to an event organized in 2007, the Riverside Junior Woman's Charity (RJWC) will be running a bike safety event (Bike Rodeo) for the Riverside community on May 30, 2009.
As part of that event, they will be collecting used bikes from the community for donation to Working Bikes.
The Bike Rodeo is being held in the parking lot of St. Mary's Church, located at 126 Herrick Road, Riverside, Illinois 60546.

With the help of a lot of volunteers we were able to fill the container in about 4 hours ...
We crammed 331 adult (mainly 26" & some 24") and 144 20" childrens bikes into the container, along with 3 boxes of cranks, 1 box of brakes, 1 bucket of chains, 1 box of new MTB suspension forks, 23 extra 26" wheels and 4 bags of MTB inner-tubes.
The Saint Clement Environmental Committee and Human Concerns Commission have asked us to help them encourage cycling and environmental awareness with some bike machine displays on Sunday, June 14 between 9am and 1pm ...
