The 31st Annual Arlington Heights Bike Swap is Scheduled for April 30, 2011
Arlington Heights, IL, March 20, 2011 - The Arlington Heights Bicycle Club (AHBC) is pleased to announce the Arlington Bike Swap is scheduled for Saturday April 30, 2011. The Arlington Heights Bike Swap is an annual community event featuring hundreds of bicycles.
The swap is held at Centennial Park, 1209 Burr Oak Drive, Arlington Heights, IL. Centennial Park is located adjacent to Riley School.
The Arlington Heights Bike Swap allows everyone to sell or purchase bicycles and bicycle related items. The Arlington Heights Bicycle Club runs the event like a garage sale. Sellers set their own prices. The swap is ideal for anyone who has out grown their bicycle; has bicycles they no longer use; or want to upgrade their bicycle. In past years, bicycles of all sizes and vintage have been available --- from child sizes to adult sizes and aging from decades old to brand new.
Items are accepted for sale between 8:00AM and 9:30AM. Purchases can be made between 9:00AM and 3:00PM. Fees are 10% of any sold items. Disbursements for sold items are between 3:00PM and 5:00PM. Any items which do not sell are returned to the owner without a fee and must be picked up by 5:00PM. Items left beyond 5:00PM become the property of AHBC.
Items for sale may optionally be pre-registered on at website of AHBC www.cyclearlington.com. Sellers with multiple items are requested to pre-register all times to speed up the process.
Bikes and equipment must be in good condition before being accepted for sale. There is a $10 minimum for all items. All transaction are cash only; no checks, credit cards, or debit cards accepted. Sellers and buyers must be 18 years of age unless accompanied by an adult.

ABOUT Arlington Heights Bicycle Club – The Arlington Heights Bicycle Club is a recreational bicycle club affiliated with the Arlington Heights Park District. The club provides a variety of weekly rides for the beginning, intermediate, and advanced cyclist. Safe cycling is a prime concern and promoted by Arlington Heights Bicycle Club.
