Lee's Bike Machine Workshop
Now that the fairs and festivals have tapered off we will resume the bike machine workshops at our new location at 2434 South Western in Chicago.
The machines were used this summer at more than 30 events including:
15 Science Chicago LabFests,
Energy fairs in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa,
Green Festivals at Navy Pier, Madison and Elmhurst,
Art Fair on the Square in Madison,
Tour of Elk Grove Village,
Green Music Fest,
Several Earth Day events and
Several recycling extravaganzas.
We also have interest in the bike machines from several CPS schools.
Please reply if you are interested in attending the workshops or if you want to "enroll" a young person.
The workshops will meet in the "FitSics" Department in the Northeast corner of the first floor of 2434 S. Western, Chicago.
Lab materials can be bought from the Co-op at cost for educators. These include generators, v-belts, sheaves, wiring, relays, diodes, bikes and bike trainers.
