South Loop Bike Drive at Whole Foods Market

"In honor of Earth Day 2012, Whole Foods Market South Loop is hosting a bike donation drive in our front parking lot (off of Roosevelt St.). Working Bikes, a Pilsen-based bike recycling cooperative, will be collecting your used bikes in all conditions; your donations will ...be fixed-up and donated to individuals in Chicago and beyond who will benefit from having the transportation of a bicycle.
To get you pumped, our friends at New Belgium Brewery will be kicking things off on Saturday April 21st with samples, games, swag, and PRIZES in celebration of Bike season and their newest Pale Ale, SHIFT which comes in a 16oz can. Hooray!

Manor and Meadow Tour

British Bicycles of Chicago invites you to The Manor & Meadow Tour beginning at the beautiful Mayslake Peabody Estate, Sunday, June 10 at noon - the ride will get underway promptly at 1pm.
Just in time for the holidays: Working Bikes will be selling bicycles for children, aged from 3 to 6 years old, for only $5.
- All of these bicycles are dinations we have received. They are used bicycles, but are in great condition.
- Children must be present at time of purchase, and there is a limit of one bicycle per child.

Hello Friends, Comrades and Associates of Working Bikes,
We will be receiving an early holiday present this weekend from our volunteers west of us, a shipment of bikes will arrive Sunday afternoon and we will need help unloading those bikes.
Any wonderful volunteers willing to brave the weather and skip the televised Bears game in favor of an audio transmittal while unloading, we will be forever indebted to.
If our eternal gratitude and free pair of jersey gloves is not enough to entice you, we also plan on having delicious Whole Foods Pizza and Lemonade.
Working Bikes at the University of Chicago Health and Wellness Fair

A favorite tradition returns! Join your friends and take a break while you learn and enjoy ways to be well and stay well. Activities include art projects (decorate your own pumpkin, make a beaded wristband), neck and shoulder massage, make-your-own trail mix, free hot drinks, drum circle, dog petting, hula hoop and jump rope contests, free flu vaccination and much, much more.
Working Bikes at the IIT Green Resource Fair
Working Bikes will have a booth at the Green Resource Fair. This is part of the IIT Sustainability Week festivities. Thursday, October 20th from Noon to 4 PM on IIT's main campus.
