We got 355 adult bikes, including over 200 MTBs, and 101 children's bike into the container that is now winging it's way towards Uganda!

Wednesday November 30th, 2011, UPDATE:
The trucking company was able to locate a 40' high cube shipping container.
We are loading today and tomorrow Thursday from 10 until 4.
We will start loading today but save half for Thursday.
In any case we have to complete the loading by Friday when it has to be returned to the rail yard.
Tuesday November 29th, 2011, UPDATE:
At the moment-5pm today, our trucker is unable to find a 40' high cube, so we may need to postpone this loading, the temperature tomorrow seems to want to cooperate-40deg with 10mph wind, however we may be without a container to load.
If a container appears tomorrow morning as promised, we will load as scheduled.
Any volunteers interested in helping are more than welcome to show up, if we don't have a box we will the heated shop upstairs open for volunteering ...
We are filling a container to ship bikes to the Prisoner Support Organization in Uganda the Wednesday after Thanksgiving.

Hello Friends, Comrades and Associates of Working Bikes,
We will be receiving an early holiday present this weekend from our volunteers west of us, a shipment of bikes will arrive Sunday afternoon and we will need help unloading those bikes.
Any wonderful volunteers willing to brave the weather and skip the televised Bears game in favor of an audio transmittal while unloading, we will be forever indebted to.
If our eternal gratitude and free pair of jersey gloves is not enough to entice you, we also plan on having delicious Whole Foods Pizza and Lemonade.

We will be filling another container with bikes, etc., this one bound for The Bicycle Empowerment Network (BEN) in Cape Town, South Africa ...
The location will be at the Working Bikes Warehouse at 2434 S. Western Avenue in Pilsen, from 10am until we're done - perhaps around 4pm?
Just in time for the holidays: Working Bikes will be selling bicycles for children, aged from 3 to 6 years old, for only $5.
- All of these bicycles are dinations we have received. They are used bicycles, but are in great condition.
- Children must be present at time of purchase, and there is a limit of one bicycle per child.
