Loyola University Chicago is pleased to announce a Book & Bike Drive to benefit Global Alliance for Africa (GAA), a non-profit organization which develops programs to economically strengthen communities throughout Africa. The drive is the outcome of a Loyola University Immersion Trip to East Africa in June 2007 where faculty and staff members had the opportunity to learn about GAA’s initiatives first hand.

The Working Bikes Co-Op's Peruvian project sponsor COPRODELI is having a bike drive on Sunday, at the big church near the Haymarket monument: Old St. Patrick’s Church 700 West Adams Street, Chicago, IL 60661.

Drop off gently used or new bicycles for underserved communities in Peru. Bicycles can EMPOWER individuals by providing transportation to work, promote exercise and a healthy lifestyle, and can keep children off the street.
