Filling a container bound for Tanzania on November 15th, 2008.
The bikes are going to the Vijana Vocational Training Center
in Arusha, Tanzania with our partners the Global Alliance for Africa.
We managed to load 514 bikes, one unicycle and many, many parts into the container that blocked one lane of Western Avenue between 10:00am and 2:30pm on a blustery Saturday, when the rain & snow (thankfully) held off. Kudos and many thanks to all who showed up and helped. See pictures HERE & HERE!
