Brixie's Beer Bar and Grill will be generously donating 50¢ from each New Belgium Beer sold in the month of October to the Working Bikes Co-op! Every month Brixie's donates 50¢ from each beer of the month sold. This month they are offering New Belgium Hoptoberfest, Fat Tire, and Ranger IPA. Contact: Robert T. A colleague, Jack, is driving a truck from Chicago to Miami loaded with medical supplies bound for Haiti - Working Bikes will contribute 10-20 bikes to this shipment and will be hand-picking & loading suitable bikes mid-morning this Friday ... We prepared 20 fat-tyred bikes (mainly MTBs but there were a few cruisers), then took them and all of our medical equipment (crutches, walkers & 8 wheelchairs) along to the truck-loading in Mount Prospect on Saturday - as problems procuring a vehicle meant they didn't manage to get to us on Friday. | ||
